I cannot believe it's Friday already! This week just cruised right on by... It's been frightfully busy so I haven't had a chance to get around to too many of your blogs this week, but I plan to get caught up over the weekend. It really just seems like yesterday was Monday...
And with nothing good on tv, I ended up watching a tivo-ed episode of Sewing with Nancy early this morning before dragging my sorry behind out of bed. I've got to watch something other than news or weather to get me awake.I got inspired on finished seams! Hong Kong finishes, couture type edges and corners. Pretty cool. But for my non-sewing friends, look at the edges of your clothes. Does it look homemade? Probably not. As my dear daughter once said, "I want to sew as well as an 8 year old in a sweat shop."
If I can get my sewn clothes to look as professional as an 8 year old sweat shop worker, I'll be happy.
I'm heading back to JoAnn's tonight to pick up a zipper for the confirmation dress, because I lost the one that I had during the exodus from the sewing room... and some boning for Mabs prom dress. (I call her Mabs sometimes instead of Maddy, Mad or even Mads... Is that wrong?) (It's short for Mabeline which I used to sometimes call her when I felt squirrel-ly...)
I've got a few hours here and there this weekend to really make some sewing tracks on both dresses. Meri is going to make her own Easter dress, so we're going to carve some time this weekend also to at least get her sample dress cut out. If it turns out well, she'll take it to the 4H fair this summer.
Have an awesome weekend!

I get this excited about washing clothes. I really like to do laundry. We would work so well together. You make the clothes and I'll wash them.
Have a great weekend!
As always, I can't wait to see the finished products!
I use to watch her but had to stop. Being an SLP all I did was watch her mouth instead of listening her. One of the downfalls of my job :o(
Gosh...I feel so out of sorts here. I don't like to do laundry or sew!
Oh how I wish I could sew, then I would know what this blog is all about, but know that something beautiful will be created, even if it has been boned???
