Who's the fool now??

Happy April's Fool's Day everyone!! April Fools Days of the past have been a hoot around my house... 2009 2010

I remember the days when the kids were 8 or younger and the funniest April Fool's day joke was to tell me there was a spider on my back...

Repeatedly...

Now it's much more complex. They put tons of time in on March 31st to plan something so elaborate (sometimes with Robb's help) that we'll talk about it the rest of the year.

Meri & Robb came up with something last night and she was an hour late to get to bed... But she was happy and chuckling maniacally when I kissed her good night.

So this morning, she asked if we'd gotten the mail lately, which of course I hadn't. It's been a busy week and to get the mail you have to walk across the street with the key, if you can find it.

And it's been chill. I'm a weenie.

She offered to go get it. Robb was expecting a package too. So when she came back, she laid the stack on the counter and when she was convinced she hadn't gotten anything from AKC, went to eat breakfast.

I flipped through the letters before I ate and found one with my name looking like this... No stamp, no return address. It DID have our address on it, but I blanked that part out when I scanned it in. I knew in a flash that it probably had NOT been delivered by the mailman... And grinning I opened it.

Click on the picture to enlarge it if you want.

But I'll tell you what... Those kids better check their beds well for spiders before they go to sleep tonight..

Muwahahaha!

That was a good one! I can't wait to see what you do to them. You could always sew the leg holes closed on their undies.

What's really funny is that my kids are both under 8 and they BOTH tell us, YOU have a spider on your head!! lol
