Weekend in sights and sounds

Here's a review of my weekend in sights and sounds. Well, at least Friday night and Saturday.

Friday night, we went to pick up Maddy at her Jazz Band camp. So glad to have her home!
Check for her on the vibes in the video. She had 2 improvisational solos.

Saturday, Meri, me and a friend from 4H participated in the ASG community sewing project for Dress a girl around the world. It never occurred to me before what impact these clothes would have on these little girls lives. Let's just say it will protect them from kidnappers. seriously...
We made over 50 dresses. Meri and Nicole each made one and I mostly messed with their sewing machines to keep them threaded. But someone gave me a couple mostly finished dresses and I did the armholes, necklines and hems to finish them up. So I got to ring the finish bell a couple times too!
I hope you had a great weekend! What did you do?

How nice that you are making these dresses for little girls knowing that you will be making a difference.

I made maternity skirts from regular skirts.

Here solo was great! I was in band-played the flute though- so never part of the jazz band.
How do the dresses protect them from kidnappers?

Great jazz solo! Made me wish I was in a smokie club knocking back two dollar beers!
