I have to give a big SHOUT OUT to Slug mama over at Slug Mama from the train! Simple Slug. I just want to say, I love you. There. I've said it! I got my $25 Walmart gift card that I won on her blog in the mail a couple days ago and plan to use it all on paper and pencils to get these kids off to school in style! Because they all need pencils that don't have teeth marks on them or are ground down to the eraser already... That happens later. I give them a week.

I also want to say HOWDY to MattCook! If you're reading this today, I'm talking about you. He wrote a very nice comment on my post yesterday that he's going to be making his own version of my prom dress with bias strips wrapping around the body down to the knees, then poof out in a mermaid type style! Ok Matt... I couldn't tell if you've got a blog or what, but I we want to see the finished product! So email me, post about it, whatever! pretty please!

My eyes are watering like crazy. Meri thought it was because of the emotional "dress a woman on stilts" Project Runway episode from last night, but really it's not. I don't know if I have allergies or if I rubbed something into my eyes... Or if I'm just tired all the time. That actually might be it... I need about 2 more hours of sleep a night. Yeah, that would do it for me!

The wedding shower is tomorrow afternoon. Last night I did a thorough deep cleaning of the livingroom and half heartedly steam cleaned the carpet. It looks it. I didn't realize the dogs were kicking off THAT much hair until I pulled out our loveseat. *stupid dogs*

Ordered the cake and I hope it turns out like how I described I wanted it to the bakery... Of course I'll take a pic tomorrow.

Robb and I will head off to Iowa's Straw Poll in the morning long enough to get a wee bit of free food and then vote. Then hightail it back to where the shower will be and finish getting things done. On the Facebook invites, it doesn't look like a lot are coming, but I've got a LOT of relatives and friends that AREN'T FB savvy, but do email... And there are about 30+ on top of the FB people. It'll be a ParTay!

Decorating the party room tonight if I can find the right color streamers and junk. We'll see.

Oh! Speaking of The Show That Must Not Be Named, TSTMNBN, Project Runway. My daughter now owns a piece of the PR history! She's been dying to bid on one of their designs and actually won the following dress from last weeks episode!
Can you believe it's made out of dog food bags? Well... Maybe it's obvious. She's going to show it off at our next ASG (American Sewing Guild) meeting and probably take it for sharing at school this fall. That is, if they still DO sharing in 6th grade...
