My Christmas List

Kids keep asking me what I want for Christmas. Well, MY kids do... and husband. It always takes me by surprise no matter what I'm doing and the natural response is "good kids", but I know that's a lost cause by now... I hold out hope for my grand kids. (just kidding!!! My kids are good ones for the most part.)

Here is my list in no particular order that I've come up with so far.

The big bulk pack of stainless steel spoons from Sam's Club. Because they'd all match and our spoons keep getting wrecked from getting roughed up in the garbage disposal. Don't you hate cutting your tongue on a spoon? Maybe that's how "sporks" got invented...A completely clean house... For just one day.

A renewal subscription to the Burda magazine!

The faucet in the kitchen fixed. It drips a bit.

A detailed car. You know the ones. The cars that don't have crumbs in the seams of the seats or gummy substance on the dash. Or someone's change of clothing under the seat.

A job for my son. Enough said on that.

A LOT of money. Likewise, I'm sure.

A new sweater that someone else picked out.

A garment that someone made just for me.

Some new mixer blades for my old old counter top mixer. I think they're only found on Ebay these days... I broke mine... Kitchenaid k5-a Wisk & cookie attachments please. Oh and a bread hook. note to self: Do not mix bread dough in that thing with the cookie mixing attachment.

Some nice mittens and/or scarf that haven't been chewed on by our dogs yet. Maybe some knitted ones. That would be nice.

Some artwork made by my kids. Something with lots of thought and love mixed in.

A personal Bible. Sure we've got a lot in the house, but the zipper is broken on my old one that I got for confirmation and something with slightly bigger print might be in order these days...

Hmmm.. What else?...

Oh and I love the color of hunter green!

And no hearing aides or reading glasses will be accepted. Well.. maybe the reading glasses...

I know this is a pretty big list. But these are things that I could use. I don't need EVERYTHING on it for Christmas or even Mother's Day that's coming up or my birthday in July... Anniversaries... Valentine's Day... President's Day... Tax day in April... All the good gift giving holidays!

Actually... Scratch the list. I just want good kids.

Man. I hate getting the silverware scratched up in the disposal. And the sound is just so awesome!

I'm going to cut and paste this for my Christmas list too. Our spoons are destroyed as well and none of them match. sigh.
