Those Blinkin' Lights and other random things

Meri's Christmas program at school on Monday night! She plays clarinet in the band. The Jingle Jungle bells song was awesome!

These are the locks of one of Meri's friends. I just adored her hair and asked if I could take a picture of it. Her mom spent 45 minutes curling it for the concert and a whole bottle of hairspray.

Meri and I went to Hobby Lobby last night before church and I picked up random little things to finish some Christmas presents that I need to get done with soon. Also went to Best Buy (Buy More) and got a dvd gift for a friend that we're celebrating with this weekend at our annual Christmas party. This is out at the place we made cookies at and decorated on Saturday. Mike makes a Norwegian Christmas dinner and I'll get some COD! Yumm! and melted butter... Not that I can't indulge in melted butter any old time, but it tastes so good with cod and lefsa!

I haven't had a chance to sew all week so far. I think tonight is our first free night so maybe I'll get some gifts finished up then. Then sic the kids on wrapping things for me. They won't be wrapping THEIR things. I actually don't have too many of their things gotten yet... Walmart is open on Christmas Eve, right?

Yesterday at work was terrible. I made a huge mistake and was hyperventilating whilst talking to my boss about it late afternoon. He helped me get it straightened out and then told me that wine always helps in a case like this... I still have some clean up this morning to do on it, but will be VEWY VEWY careful! My heart can't take another day like that!!! I'm so glad my boss is understanding! And I have to wonder just what kind of drunkards I work with because another co-worker suggested wine too...

Our Christmas lights are looking good. So good in fact that a car stopped on Saturday thinking that we were on the tour of homes bit! Um nope... Just Christmas fanaticals! One little section of the Christmas lights are blinking while all the rest stay on solid. My mother-in-law asked me about them as if she wants to fix it... We were replacing bulbs and that string just happens to blink. I kind of like it! Nothing to fix here! Unless it causes people to vomit when walking up the sidewalk... But we haven't had any issues yet.I tivoed Celtic Woman: Believe the other night on IPTV (Iowa Public Television) and tried to watch a little this morning. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT WASN'T THEM???! Some other singers were in there and they don't look Irish at all... Then an infomercial about losing weight... grrr...
Bummer. Now I'll have to watch the Michael Buble Christmas special... That's recorded too. And not at all like the old Donnie & Marie or Lawrence Welk Christmas specials. I am such a 70s-80s child...

Well, back to work and hopefully I won't break anything today!
