Go-Karts With A Tude!

A week ago Sunday...

Beginning of spring break and still somewhat flush with cash....

We treated the kids out to an evening at Incredible Pizza in Des Moines! It's basically an indoor theme park with tons of food, mostly pizza. On Sunday nights, they had an offer where you could get all you can eat and all you can ride go-karts, bumper cars, mini golf and bowling at a discounted rate. Everything else cost more money, but who wants to try and win a jumbo stuffed crab anyhow?
Ryan, Tiffany and baby came along and we enjoyed our food in one of the many themed dining rooms where, as luck would have it, the Three Stooges was playing on a big screen tv!

Then we took turns sitting with Leon while everyone else took off to try their hand at the various things to do. I limped around a lot, but still had a great time with the kids.

And then of course the go-karts!The go-karts were a big hit! Once we figured out that one line was for kids with their parents and the other was for people over 14 years old, it was a blast! And Meri was very glad that she looks at least 14. We didn't clue the guy in... She raced with Maddy and I first, then with Ryan. When you're in the 14 and over crowd, you get the faster cars!

It was dark and pouring rain by the time we left and I think Ryan got his car lost in the parking lot trying to find the exit. We'd had to drive two cars because those two were going to take the baby to go see his great grandparents afterwards. And the parking lot WAS kind of confusing... Especially in the rain.And another shot of Leon...
