Bark Ruff! grrrr.....

Thought you'd like to see what came down our pike on Monday night!  Yep...  Ellie, our golden retriever was acting funky all weekend and rarely left her nest in the garage since Friday.

Just before the high school band concert on Monday, she acted even more lethargic and weird, so Meri stayed home with her.  The concert was great!  It'll be interesting to hear how the Jazz band does next year after losing so many seniors.  But they are all so talented, I think they'll still sound swingin'!  Here is a sample.  Maddy played the accordion on one song.  Yep - I said that!  It'll be a while for that one to upload, so I'm doing Jalopeno Dreams first.  That one is definitely one of our favorites this year.  The tune stays with you and drives Maddy nuts when you hum or whistle it around the house...  She's the one wailing on the vibes.

At the very beginning of the concert, I got a text from Meri that just said PUPPIES!!!!  Cool!  Why is it that Ellie waits until a school concert to give birth?  I texted her a little while later and asked if boys or girls so far.  She texted back and said, "well...  none yet.  But her water broke and I'm sure it wasn't something else.  Tiffany said I was right!"

About half way through the performance she texted again, "This time puppy for real!"

When we got home, one of our nieces was helping Meri deliver the pups.  Oh and let's just say, we'll never be using that sleeping bag again...  Although I didn't really plan on it anyway...

I was exhausted, but told Meri to go to bed by 11:15.  My niece stayed over and delivered the last one on her own and will now probably never have children herself...  She did videotape the birth of one of them.

I won't be showing that...

Anway!  There are 7 puppies!  3 boys, 4 girls!  And all adorable.

Maddy texted me from school yesterday and asked if she could bring over some potential puppy buyers to see them.  Of course!  But then of course... they're her friends... and not potential buyers at all!  They just want to snuggle with puppies again.

But who wouldn't!  unless you allergic or weird or something...

Congratulations!!!
While wide awake at 2:30am. last night, I was thinking about your puppies. That's right, I got nothing better to do! So it's good to hear that Ellie had her babies. And they're so cute. And tell her thanks for picking my birthday on which to have them. I like that!
