I went to the sewing group last night after all! I did know a few of the ladies, but they were all quilters and had their noses in their piecing, so we didn't talk much. I hogged a whole table with my cutting board, mini ironing board, serger and sewing machine and stuff. Making some baby pants and shirt for Leon out of a funky t-shirt that I found at the Salvation Army a while back. It was big... So plenty of fabric! Pictures as soon as it's hemmed and had the elastic pulled through. They seem huge but held up to him, not so much...
btw: Greenbeans... FAIL!
And I'm just going to say that if you're giving away a kitten... Don't lie about how old it is. If it's not weaned, it's going to be sickly and not eat for you... After a couple trips to the vet, it was pretty obvious... It wasn't going to make it. Poor thing!
We took Leon to the football game on Friday night and he had a blast! All of Meri's friends and ours oohed and ahhed over him. I couldn't believe how he (when he did fall asleep) slept through all the teenager screams and yells right next to us. I wish I could sleep like that!! Since we're only Band parents, we left after the half time show. Zero to Zero when we left, but apparently we ended up losing... darn.
Why is it that 90% of my pictures are now of Leon??
Trying to dream up a cool sewn wedding gift for my nephew and his bride for October. I have some ideas... I'll try and come up with something to show you this week. Something unconventional for a wedding... I'm thnking Christmassy...
hmmm...
Gotta run! Lots to do, lots to do...
I hope you had a great weekend!

I hope you get everything done that you need to do and don't collapse! I can't wait to see what you come up with for the wedding present and the outfit you're making for Leon!
Do you know what I wish I had gotten for wedding gifts? Those sewn clothes that you can use to put around and carry a casserole dish. That would be a great gift.
Love those Leon snaps! Too darling. :)
What about placemats and napkins? Maybe an 'everyday' set, and then a 'Christmas' set? You could even make some napkin rings! :) Just a thought.
Yea, I've been taking a lot of pictures with the same subject too ;o)
I think you should make them a quilt, then maybe the ladies at the sewing group will talk to you ;o)
lol Love that bib!
Just love seeing his pictures. He's getting so big! So adorable! Have a great week.
Blessings,
Jill
He is getting so big!
And I still don't know how you manage everything. I think you need to tell everyone how you do it. Maybe write a book in your spare time. Ha, like you have spare time.
