My son and his wife are splitting up and we only get Leon sparingly at the moment. It's not been a good ride so far and I miss him horribly.
I've been spending my free time packing some things up. It's the "cleaning up my house" "cleaning up my life" scenario...
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:27-29
What it all boils down to is Leon and what's best for him.
Any other grandparents going through something like this?

Still praying!
I am so sorry. They are in my prayers
You know I'm praying.
Oh yes, it's happening here too. The story is one of those horrible tales of 'no she didn't' and 'that's awful!' with in the end, what she thinks is best for Amelia isn't what he thinks is best. Thank goodness the court system doesn't agree with her!
Now we see her 50% of the time and love/cherish every moment she is here. The hardest part is not thinking about what is happening to her when she's not here.
And all along the song,"Evil Woman" goes through my head......
And they just got married!
Wow....
Just support all of them and love them and pray and hope for the best outcome. You can't control them so give it up to who does.
I'll meditate for you all.....
So sorry to hear this for your family. Sending up some prayers for you.
I am sorry that has to be tough. Especially as you were so used to having your grandson around. Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
From a different perspective, sometimes a split is what's best for everyone involved. I split from my first husband when my daughter (Kat's mom) was just 2. It was best for me, for my daughter, and even for my ex-husband. Everyone deserves love, but I wasn't the one who could give it to him.
In a sad, yet fortunate situation for me, his parents weren't a part of my daughter's life, so I didn't have to worry about visitation arrangements with them.
All that to say that these things seem to always work out for the best in the end, even when they seem like they won't in the beginning.
Splits are unfortunate, I hope you get more time with Leon. Such a difficult thing!!
Lots of love to you! But you know this!
Went through it with 2 of our kids...Meredith and Chance. Well, Mere is till married, but they have been living apart for several years. Chance was married for a little over a year. They both get along with the ex-spouses enough to effect the kids as little as possible. Not much we can do but pray that they will all be okay.
