I knew I liked them...
My best friend gave me a soap dispenser on Sunday that when you push on the top, it plays one of four Christmas songs. That should drive Robb nuts!!! But Meri and I sang with it all the way home. Apparently it doesn't have to squirt out the soap to play...
So, being that I was in the mood for Christmas, I could see that our living room carpet was not. How could we put up a tree in a few weeks on THAT ghastly carpet??! So I pulled out the steam cleaner last night, not really with a lot of confidence in it's abilities. But wow. The carpet cleaned up pretty good! Leon watched from the couch in amazement...
Where did his dot to dot game go?
I guess that's where the tree will go. A little awkward, but oh well. Or maybe just the tree skirt...
I'm also wondering about Leon and the tree. He's grabby... And the tree is 12 feet tall so we can't really just put a baby gate around it like we used to with our kids... Well maybe we can...
Or put it up on a table. Or hang it from the ceiling. And yes, we did that one year because I saw it in a magazine.
The picture in the mag looked cool... Ours did not. It kind of looked like we hated Christmas...
Let's hang that dangnabbed thing!!!
Anyway. I'm in the mood for Christmas and will be playing music in it's honor all day today...
I know Sonya Ann and Leann think and plan for it year round! Who else is with me??!!!

Oh, I can't yet. I have to wait until after Thanksgiving. It's a rule. ;) Your tree is beautiful.
Already?!?!
The poor turkeys get no respect....
Poor Thanksgiving! It gets rolled over.
We had the bottom 2 feet of the tree empty for a few years.
Too soon for me. When I was a kid, we put the tree up around my birthday (Dec. 16). I usually can't get my family to wait that long now, but never before Black Friday, and preferably not before Dec. 1.
I like it for a little while, but after a week or so, it's just clutter to me. So, if at all possible, it comes down the day after Christmas.
Hayley has been talking about it for months! LOL However I like to wait to decorate till after Thanksgiving.
But I do plan shopping and gift lists in September :-)
well we already got the books of toys from all the box stores...I have Thanksgiving decorations all over my house, so we are still in November here..but we LOVE Christmas too!!
Agree, you need to let the turkey have his day first. Or at least the first part of the day then put the tree up that night ;o)
One holiday at a time for me. Christmas puts me in mental overload! lol
Wow - you know me - I LOVE Christmas. But I do wait to decorate until the day after Thanksgiving. Although I never think decorating before Thanksgiving is wrong if someone wants to do it - to each their own I say. But I do leave our tree up until the epiphany. We'll actually go and cut ours down on the 23rd! Can't wait!
Enjoy your handwashing:)
Leann
Thank you for the linky love!
I plan for Christmas all year long but I'm not such a fan. I know I have shamed you. Maybe it is just because I am burned out by the time we get there. Maybe I should just leave it all til the last minute. Maybe I would like it more, nope probably not.
