It's Beginning To Look...

Did a bunch of cookie and goodie making out at my besties on Saturday!  Maddy had to babysit but brought her little charges out for an hour or so and they dipped pretzels.  Sampling as they went. 

 I made the ones on the left.  Chocolate chip and cinnamon chip cookies.  The ones on the right are chocolate mint chip made by someone else, and they are delish!  When I got back home, I could NOT find the grocery bag that had all my specialty chips in it.  I think someone has nabbed it.  I know "I" could eat a whole bag of cinnamon chips by myself... but it's driving my nuts not knowing where they've run off to...

Meri and one of the girls did the decor on the tree on the porch and I can't believe I forgot to snap a picture of their living room tree!  My friend is super obsessed with Wizard of Oz and purple.  So the living room tree is mostly purple with tons of Wizard of Oz ornaments on it.  Every year someone gives her more of various types.   I'll have to get some pics next time I go out to her house.

 

 At home, Leon is king, if he's in his walker.  And oh my, he loves that thing!  I've GOT to get different baby locks on the cabinet doors, because these are driving me nuts.  I can't open them with one hand...  AND some of the cabinets need inside clips.  Haven't done those yet, but luckily those cabinets just hold things like cookie sheets or cans of cat food...

 He was starting to drift off at supper last night.  Robb had one more turkey to cook, so he smoked it yesterday and we had an impromptu turkey dinner, yet again!  And as is usually the case, turkey makes you sleepy, right?  Leon took 2 bites and that did it for him.  It doesn't look like he's SUPER sleepy in these photos, because every time he sees the camera, he's all bright eyed and smiles.  I managed to catch him a little unawares.

Pay no attention to his filthy sleeper.  We tried him out on those little contraptions that you put apple bits into a miniature bag with a handle and then he chews on it and no worries of choking!  However it drips apple juice like mad! He'd had that for an appetizer.

It was 60 degrees out this weekend!!!!  We got a bunch of the outdoor lights up.  Actually we have ALL our outdoor lights up...  Some just have reached their expiration date and won't work anymore, so we've retired them to the box for bulb spares...  I've had to purchase a couple more this year.  

Leon's other grandma gave him the rocker.  It needs to be refinished, but was too pretty to put away until spring to do that, so it's on the porch.  I put one of the strands of lights inside my metal bucket and the local tree farm was giving away free branches that they trim off the trees, so I snagged a few!  I think it makes the porch look really pretty!  I might have to go back for more this next weekend!

And of course our leg lamp for the front window...  What's Christmas without a Major Award?!
