Bagpipes.
Last week was Spring break, so that's the reason I was kind of scarce. I still had to work a couple hours each morning, so that was kind of a bummer... And they were the most action packed two hours I've ever complained about. But other than that, I had some good quality time with my girls, grandbaby and hubby.
Starting last Saturday. Meri and I attended our sewing meeting and left early to go to the first pub of the season with Robb in his kilt. The pub was so packed and Meri was a little unnerved by tipsy folk asking her to take a picture of the band because she had a prime spot... I can tell you right now, she will never drink. She was not impressed with the pub clientele at all!
Because it was so packed in there, the bagpipe band didn't have any place to play comfortably, and ended up standing on the stairs to the upstairs rooms of the pub...
We made a couple patrons clear a path for the dancer for two of the songs. She is one energetic chick!
There was only the one performance on Saturday, but on Sunday there were 3 in the afternoon. Spread out over the course of a few hours between each. With Robb in his kilt again, it wasn't like we could do any shopping while in the big town! Well... I did... He stayed in the car and read.
Then home again, home again, to greet his brother and our niece who would be staying with us for the next week.
Tune in tomorrow when you hear Val say,
"I am getting SICK of doing dishes by hand!!!! This is NOT what our forefathers fought for!!!"
Oh and she also said, "Yum! I love me some Irish food!!!"

Ah it sounds like a fun way to spend a Sunday, NOT! But you are one really supportive wife and that's the best part.
