So last night, we attended the last T.A.G. presentation that Maddy will be doing. All last year, she'd worked on knitting and getting the community to knit for the orphanage in Ukraine. This year, she worked on fund-raising to ship the stuff off that had been tucked in a corner of my fabric stash area for the past year.
After her success at the Root Beer float sales and donations from various people, she had quite a bit of money tucked away for the project. So yesterday I got them shipped off. We're sort of "to the last minute" kind of folks over here... BUT had the shipping receipts in her hot little hands just in time for her presentation.
She saved a lot of money! Everything fit into two boxes instead of three and only cost just under 2/3s of what she'd estimated. So the rest will either be used to send another box over or to be put toward another charitable activity in the T.A.G. group.
Getting back to the disruption... Remember the other night at the high school band performance? My long time friend and I caught the giggles? Well, this time I made sure I didn't sit with her. Her son happens to be in T.A.G. too... I hadn't realized that until last night.
"What are you doing here??! Go home!"
But sitting in front of her was probably a mistake too because she pulled my hair, blaming it on her sweet innocent daughter and took a picture of my behind, firmly planted in the chair.
Yeah, we're mature!
So I flipped the camera around and just snapped a picture for "insurance" so that the butt photo would not hit Facebook. I really wouldn't put it past her to do just that... BUT I've got something to maybe hold her in check... AND this isn't a very flattering picture so HA!
I can show YOU her pic. She doesn't read or know of my blog! DON'T tell her the website!!!
As we were attempting to leave, Maddy accidentally knocked a cup of punch over on the tablecloth and then she accidentally bumped into Meri's plate of nuts and M&Ms, scattering them across the hall. While we worked on picking that up, Leon wandered back into the library and started digging through trash.
When we got home, I handed him off to his mommy and said, "Tag!"

Oh dear, there are times when only a good dose of humor can save the day! ;-)
It's great that Maddy got all that done in the nick of time. We're last minutes over here, too. Good job!
My sister and I are horrible at getting the giggles at the most inopportune times. One time it was at a wedding. My mama was sitting next to me and pinching my arm which only made me laugh harder which made Michele break into hysterics. Sad, sad situation. It all started when her baby girl passed gas while standing on her lap. What?
Great job Maddy! You must be one proud mommy :-). Have an awesome week!
