On Sunday we hustled home from church in separate cars because I always have to stop for stuff... There's only so long you can go low on toilet paper.
Got home in time for a old 4H member and 3 of her friends to stop by with dresses. 3 of the girls will be in the 4th girl's wedding in a couple weeks and needed some alterations done to their dresses.

The 2 deep red ones needed to be taken in on the sides and one hemmed shorter. I hand basted where I'd put the pins so I could get the new seam done correctly. Pay no attention that it might be crooked... The girls have already been back for a subsequent fitting and it's looking good so far!
I'll have to sew the side bling back on by hand.
The silver one just needed to be cut off and hemmed.
I got the red ones MOSTLY done by Monday night and the silver one cut off, but won't get another chance until probably tomorrow night to get more done on them.
In the meanwhile, our apple trees are being VERY productive! Since I have no time to do anything with them this year, we decided to offer them on Freecycle.org. I've had 3 families out so far to clean some apples off my two trees, with more coming today. I mentioned it to our neighbor and he said to send them over to his house too! He's got a few apple trees and he has no time to make apple sauce this year. In fact, he still has a bunch from last year!

Our apple tree made a good show this year .
My son's apple tree didn't do too well this year which is ok. I don't have the time to handle apples either.
We have an apple tree with small apples that my son uses for his deer stand/camera!
I wish I lived closer for so many reasons!!
I think that it is wonderful that you are giving them away instead of letting them go to waste.
