Pride & Dodecuplets

Scroll to the bottom for an explanation.

Ok.  WHY am I posting all these photos of Jane Austen-ish dresses?

I'll tell you.

The other evening I got a call from Maddy.  She and a friend were at JoAnn Fabrics of all places!!  She said that she and Leah were interested in walking around on campus during Halloween dressed up as characters from Pride & Prejudice or Emma.  She also said, "Leah wants to talk to you!" and handed the phone over.

Um... Hello Leah!  How are you?  Leah asked me if it was possible for them to sew 2 dresses like this in time for Halloween.  I thought, "How inventive of them!  AND will they have time?"  I asked her if they had brought a sewing machine to college and the answer was no.  What I didn't grasp at the time but was informed, was that Maddy had planned to bring Leah back with her for her birthday weekend.  During that said weekend, I was to measure them up, down, sideways and backwards for a proper fitting and then make the dresses for them before they came back in 2 weeks for fall break.

Oh!

I would love to!

The two dresses turned into three by the next day with her friend Rachel coming for the weekend as well.  At this rate, I'll have 12 dresses to make before Halloween this year!

I have no idea where all 12 will sleep.

There is a handy little word you need to add to your vocabulary McVal.....it's NO.
Add it and use it.....often! lol

Hey, I would like one too! Hell, I would just like to come visit you and I could watch you sew. That would probably be better.
