MY car, the GOOD car, started flashing the battery light at Robb yesterday! Flirty??! I think so... I took that filthy thing down to the local service center this morning to have her checked out. Probably a few visits with a good psychiatrist... and probably a new alternator...
BTW: Sonya!! We tried that Seafoam stuff and our cars didn't blow up! But I talked to my brother-in-law who is a car WIZARD last weekend about Seafoam. He said that in most cases, it will do great. But in some cases, like older cars, it could work loose some BIG flat chunks of crusty gunk and cause something akin to a blood clot in the engine. So BE CAREFUL!!
So I was going to have to walk back home after dropping my car off this morning. Meri needed to go to the convenience store across the street and met me there. I babysat her moped so she could get a snack that she gets to take to school today for one class
.
Thought I'd take a few pics with my cell phone for you! Cute huh?
Look closer! We're BIG improvisation type people! Do you know what we fixed the pole with?
Yeah duct tape, but what else?
Last weekend, Meri was rolling it around the driveway with Leon in her lap. He jumped off and she flipped her leg over the back and caught the brand new $28 pole with her leg, bending it in half. The bend never healed... and the thing broke off.
We tried a few different things to splint it, but a butterknife is working the best!
Eh - I didn't like that one anyway!
Our ingenuity reminded me of when I was in college and my drivers seat broke. But that story is here.
It's just always a night at the Improv around here.

The puppies are growing so fast .
Yes Duck tape to the rescue ~ fixes everything really .
We have had good luck so far with the SeaFoam. But I have heard that it can clean out the junk that is holding some of it together. I mean Den wants to redo the motor, right?
I wish I owned stock in that tape! Fabulous for just about everything, including wart removal. ;) Hope your car is feeling better & the alternator was all that needed replacing.
We use Seafoam too, with good results. I hope your car is on the mend!
