Wow, what a weekend! My alarm went off this morning and I felt like I'd been hit by a truck. The ONLY reason I willingly got out of bed was that I needed to use the restroom...
Silly internal snooze alarms!
On Friday at 11, Robb and I headed to the Great White North! That's Minnesota... It's not actually snowing there anymore. They're finally enjoying spring now. We got there mid afternoon, in time to move a few things out to the cars, buy me a new camera, check in at the hotel and then change our clothes so we could attend the end of the year concert.
FUN!
Then we took Maddy out to eat at the best restaurant in town. The cafeteria... Not HER favorite!!! because she eats there all the time.
According to Maddy, they only put out the good stuff for when parents come.
I tend to think if we weren't there the food would still be good but she'd eat her usual meal of pickles, cottage cheese and ice cream anyway.
Then she went off to perform at the 2nd concert of the day and Robb and I loaded up a few more things, took them to the storage unit and then crashed at the hotel. Maddy and her roommate had already packed up the futon as well as other items and taken them to the unit already so that saved us a TON of time. She also rented out a little space in the unit to a couple friends to store their fridge and what nots.
Saturday morning, we took the girls out to breakfast at the OTHER favorite in town, Perkins!
Some days, Maddy just isn't a morning person until she has had her coffee.
They climbed out onto a ledge out the window of a dorm room for these shots...
Robb left after breakfast and headed home with one car. I went back to the dorms with the girls and we finished clearing out the room. There wasn't too much left. Then I went to the commencement ceremony that Maddy was singing in.
My new camera zooms REALLY well and I was able to stalk her and get even closer pics!
She was with the college choir that she had tried out for and will be singing with in the fall. It's the "elite" choir at the college! And they sounded wonderful!
It took a while to find her in the crowd afterwards. TOns of people!!
After saying goodbye to one of her best friends for the summer, she and I headed home. Her sleeping half way then driving so I could surf the web and download some photos.
We got home in time to visit with everyone a little before I took Meri and some of her friends out to a farm to do some zombie LARP'ing for half the night. I didn't stay to play with them...
I'm 47 even tho Leon says I'm two.
And that was just through Saturday.

Can Leon stay with me for a while. I'd like to be less than 50.
Looks like fun was had by all!
OMG! I need a nap after reading all this.
And I am packing for a move. LOL!
