Day 5. The nose still blows and I've developed a cough that sounds quite a bit like our late Basset Hound, Sorsha. It's almost like she never left us...
Last night, Robb, a few of his co-workers, Meri and myself loaded up Ryan's car that has been sitting dead in our driveway for almost a year now. There are some serious problems with it and we have a brother-in-law that lives in Kansas City that loves to fix our cars. ...I think... We fix his computer issues, so I guess it's KIND of a fair trade of talents! We borrowed a nieces pick up, rented a car trailer and had a blast trying to get this non-working car up onto it without killing anyone deliberately. Then Robb and Meri towed it to K.C. They're on their way back this morning.
Our town fireworks are tonight. I don't know why not tomorrow night, being that TOMORROW is the 4th of July, but oh well. It fits into our plans better anyway. Leon may or may not be here tomorrow night, so we'll have fun with him while he's here.
Flooding is still going on, but the only way we're affected is that we can't haul the yard waste to the land fill as the road to it is partially under creek. darn. So it sits in Meri's truck getting drenched with each rain fall and composting in the truck bed. :) And I'd really like to mow again. Well, not really, but feel I should.
As I find time, I've been sorting through my fabric stash and the other random things that have gotten stored in my office. Meri's going to be refinishing the cast iron bath tub with claw feet for 4H and needs a place to stow it for her reading nook when it gets finished. We won't be carting it to the fair, but she'll have a booklet done showing what she did and how it completes the corner. It'll at least look good for a photo.
I'm thinking it would be a STYLIN' place to tuck fabric...
Anywho... I better get going, but hope to visit all of you later today. I apologize for not getting around much in the last few weeks!
I suck.

It's never fun to be sick. The bathtub sounds intriguing. Can't wait to see the project.
Hmmm, you could probably fit TONS of fabric in a claw footed tub.
And our town's fireworks are tonight too!
Have a great 4th!
That is a hateful cold!
We missed the fireworks here cuz no one was sober enough to drive to a lace where we could see. We stood on the deck and saw 1/8th of them. Then we went on the 5th with a friend to WI for some more fireworks. We drank again and left our friend and drove her car home. She found a ride. LOL
