Marking Territory

It's cool, windy and rainy today...  I feel random...

Disturbing news on two different fronts this week.  No three...  But I'll only tell you one.

The store where Ryan works will be closing their doors the middle of next month!  Darn.  He has to start looking for another job.  Hopefully close as he doesn't drive.  AND he's in charge of daycare and diapers...

We let Leon run around the house in his Cars or Mickey Mouse undies for most of the weekend.  The laundry that I finally got to today proves it with about 15 pairs of cute briefs.  He's close to being potty trained, but not yet.  He is easily distracted by more fun things to do than worry about a little dampness...

Plus he's a liar.

Are you wet?  no.  Then why is the carpet a different shade of tan directly underneath you?

sigh.  It'll happen...

Our church is having a no bake/bake sale this fall.  You can bring items to sell or just donate money and the proceeds will go to mission work.  I made a couple loaves of bread and some pizza crusts one week and have orders for more pizza crusts this week.  So I made a couple extra crusts over the weekend and they're freezing nicely in the freezer.

The big seller is fleece blankets that one of the older members makes every year.  And every year, Meri talks me into buying one for her.  She picked it out and we set it in one of the Sunday School rooms to take home.  During church, with Leon's cold, I tried to convince him to go to sleep and take a longer nap.  It wasn't working in the sanctuary, so I took him back to the classroom and wrapped him up in the blanket, snuggling on the couch.  Got him to sleep finally!!

After church I left him there and went to help with the fall church cleaning.  Meri went in to check on him because he was waking up.

He told her that this was HIS blanket now.  He went wee wee on it.

If only it was that easy!

How wonderful to live in an area where you can leave your grandson sleeping safely on a couch while you do other things! Once I had my purse stolen at CHURCH!!!
