I was just shutting down my Yahoo Messenger for the day when suddenly the power in the house shut down. It was a good thing that it still a smidge light outside still! I came in the house and Leon was VERY excited that there were no lights...
Luckily I'd put chili into the crock pot that morning so dinner was ready as soon as Robb got home. We ate by candlelight and I told Leon the DARK DARK NIGHT story. He loved it and attempted to tell it to Meri later.
Meri was at pep band which got cancelled due to the power being out not only in our town, the next town and we found out later, it was about 5 towns in all besides the country. It took an hour before things came back on. By that time, we'd already picked up Meri and headed down to the hospital to see my MIL.
Leon was wired. Especially since Meri bought him a Gatorade. Those electrolyte thingys REALLY get him wound up! And he was so thrilled that CY was there, so we have lots of photos of him climbing all over Cy.
My MIL's hospital room looks pretty bare. I'll get a poster worked up for Leon to color on and we'll let people sign it when they come to see her.
Mom is doing fine, but anxious to go home. She seemed excited that
she gets to go back and see Dad on Saturday! It may have been because
I'd just plopped 3 baskets of single socks in front of her... She was
getting tired of sorting her papers and asked if she could do something
else. YOU BET!!! Here you go!
Have a great day! Partner some socks if you get a chance.

Nora cannot have red dye. I have always been skeptical of those kinds of claims until I saw it firsthand in her! She even asks if something has red dye in it now. Not sure I am familiar with dark, dark night?
My daughter is 14 and still sensitive to caffeine and all types of drink stuff. Water!
If you put 3 baskets of single socks in front of me I would want to go home too. LOL!
