Our Resurrection cookies were a bust again... They didn't rise and were not hollow in the middle, but boy did they taste good! Leon LOVED them so much that he munched on them the whole way to church Sunday morning.
After a big lunch, Maddy and Ryan hid the eggs out in the yard.
ALL the eggs, candy and otherwise. and then they all lined up to go get em.
And then it was a mad rush. Mostly to tell Leon where to find more. He kept getting distracted by one that had broken open... And then by the one that I accidentally stepped on. Shoot. That was one of the silk dyed ones too! I had it for breakfast the next day.
The eggs were everywhere.
Then we took pictures of the hauls. Leon did the raspberry thing again. WHO taught him that??!
Afterwards, the kids opened up the candy eggs and then played a game of munchkins using the candy as some sort of bartering... I have no idea how to play that game, nor do I have the patience to learn it. Give me checkers or chess please!
Leon spent 20 minutes peeling two eggs. It's amazing how well he can concentrate on one project when it's something HE'S chosen to do...
He won't eat them, but he loves to peel them.
Later on, he and I relaxed on the porch and he managed to crawl under my lilacs to rescue some chocolate kisses that had broken out of some plastic eggs earlier. Whew! I didn't know how I was going to get them!
Well, That was Easter. Robb and Maddy spent most of the afternoon planning out her Colorado summer adventure and how she'll get back home again in time for a wedding in August.
Logistics, logistics... I can't wait until the teleport stuff is invented!

looks like everyone had a fun time.
Glad Leon rescued those chocolate kisses :)
Love egg hunts! Always so much fun! :-)
Have a great day!

Looks like you had good weather. And it's nice to see the older girls still like to get in on the action :)
Now you know how to keep Leon busy while you work/clean/shop. Just keep boiled eggs on hand. You will probably go through a lot of eggs. You should get chickens. Yes, that would be a new adventure for you.
How fun! We had egg hunts all the way though our kids graduating high school. LOL! Money my MIL put in her eggs helped.
