I am a Peonist

I do play piano but haven't played anything but Bobcat Boogie in the last 15 years...  I take that back.  I did attempt to play for a church service several years ago but they never asked me back after that one time...

That's what I had kids for.  Let THEM play for church!

But anyway, pianist and peonist are two different things, aren't they?

I'm talking about peonies!!!  My peonies are blooming!!!  Yay!  Lots of little ants all over chewing open the buds... If I'd know that's how they bloom, I probably would have planted them back in the woods to admire from afar.  Oh well.

They're beautiful and reminding me vividly of the ones next to my grandma's front porch when they lived in the parsonage.  Leon and his daddy will cut one later to put in a vase for me.

I'm not blogging tomorrow as I'm headed off to my nephew's wedding weekend! The outfit is done but needs a little tweaking over lunch today and a safety pin or two.  WHO has time for button holes??

I hope you have a great weekend!

Back when I used to sew I never ever used a pattern that required button holes!! Only zippers for this girl!

I hate button holes!!! The last dresses I sewed for the girls had 6 on each dress. I won't let their mama pick out patterns again. ;)
Can't wait to see photos and hear about the wedding.

You must be very careful with that word. I was called before the Dean of women at my religious college because I said my boy friend was a great pianist. It was interpreted as something else by some snarky girls. I do however love peonies.
