In my free time, (10 minutes a week), I've been working on a gift for my parents. My siblings are sending me tons of photos and letters from their kids talking about their favorite memories of their grandparents.
I'm putting together a photo book online of as many digital photos/letters as possible and then will have a book printed out for both Mom and one for Dad. I will most likely get one printed off for me and any of my siblings that want to buy one too.
Our hope is that the photos that my parents held so dear help bring back some memories too. Mom's memory has really taken a beating in the last year and we want them both to have something to hang on to and remember.
Here are just a few of the real oldies...
My mom's family. She's the tall girl in the back behind my Grandma P.
This is my dad. Wasn't he a cutie?
Mom on her wedding day.
The wedding party.
My uncle that died earlier this month is standing just to the right of my dad.
When there were just a few kids... They raised 8 total plus too many to count foster kids.
I think this van was before my time. All I know is THAT'S the Billy Boy Drive thru where the ice cream cones were seriously a foot tall.
I'm not sure if this was Sunday School, a Christmas program or what..... I'm guessing a Christmas program at the church in Lyons.
I'm in the front row, second from the right. I LOVED that dress!
Anyway, just a few family photos of back in the day.
When all the women were strong, all the men were good looking
and all the children were above average.

Thats a great gift Val. My niece had a video done about 12 years ago. The book format is awesome.
I love it. I'm sure they will love it, too.
Wonderful that you are putting these photos in book format. A treasure for everyone.
