It was a big weekend that ended WAY too soon. On Friday night, I took Ryan and the boy to a play land area about 30 minutes away to celebrate one of Leon's preschool friend's birthday. That boy just turned 5.
Leon had so much fun!
Within two minutes of getting there, he had run so much that his head and neck were beat red. Another boy ran into him and he smacked his head on the floor within 7 minutes of arriving. But concussions don't slow that kid down! And who would know if he had a concussion anyway? He can't count to ten successfully when he's fine... (They cooked his nines!) (in case you missed that reference, it's from the Man With Two Brains. I LOVED that movie!)
Maddy and Matthew arrived at the house just before we got home. YAY! We sat and visited for a while but were pooped. It had been a long day!
So we sat and watched the kids race around for an hour, then eat and open presents.
Leon wants the exact same toy that we bought for Quentin. okey dokey...
*I don't mind* same movie reference...

On Saturday, I attended my ASG sewing group meeting and showed off Leon & Ryan's shirts, plus my suede purse.
If you squint, they look awesome. Got some more fabric for my stash! Not as much as in the past, but I'm getting some ideas on how to use some of it up.
As soon as I got home from that, we climbed back in the car, because that's what we do.
And headed two hours north to see Meri's jazz band perform.
They got third place, but still sounded awesome, so the winning ones must have had some secret weapon in their band, like hovering drums or a banjo. darn it.
A young man gave Leon a paper airplane and Leon was in heaven...
Until as he ran, watching it, he ran SMACK into a pillar. The goose egg on his forehead was telling and he still couldn't count to ten, but struggled to get out of our arms so he could run with the paper airplane again. I guess he's ok...
I spent all our wait time sewing buttons onto the bowling shirts. Got it done! whew!
After a supper at HuHot, we headed home. We were all exhausted except for Leon who found that his tablet had juice. YAY for him!!
Ok. I'm only up to Saturday, but it's worn me out already... I'll get into Sunday tomorrow.
And for the final Two Brains quote...
"Ladies and gentlemen,
I can envision a day when the brains of brilliant men can be kept alive in the bodies of dumb people."
