No Egg Left Behind

Do you know what this means??  We've got more than 8 people for dinner!
Piano benches are better than sliced bread...

On Saturday afternoon, Robb's cousin's family came to help color Easter eggs and have a hunt.
It was so cute watching Leon and Anthony play, talk video games and in general just run around.  There was one point when Leon ran into the kitchen and said, "Hey, where is the little dude?"

Little dude has a name... What is it?

"I dunno! What is it?" with a shrug.  It's ANTHONY.  Leon just couldn't remember that.

So I guess Anthony's name will forever be Little Dude.

The kids got creative and colored 3 dozen eggs.  I filled in the slack by secretly just dropping an egg in a mug so they would mostly be done when the little ones got bored and ran off.

Maddy and Meri stayed focused though and were determined to make these the most exciting eggs ever.  I had several for breakfast over the past several days.

No matter what they looked like, they all tasted the same.  yum...
And Leon let me eat his "special" white one this morning!

Unfortunately the hunt had to be in the living room instead of outside because of rain.

And since the living room is only so big, we only hid the plastic eggs with candy in them.

If we'd have had the real eggs out, we'd have a mess...  And mushed egg is really no fun.

Plus when I was a kid, an egg got left behind in the piano bench and it wasn't found for 3 months when someone was finally looking for their piano books and crushed it open.  PHEW it smelled!!!

The cousins were also here to help my MIL celebrate her birthday.  Can you guess how old she is?  We didn't have the right candles, so YOU do the math!

An old friend and her hubby came for the weekend, as well as my SIL and BIL.  It was a full evening of food and candles!

I think she has at least 3 boyfriends...

Probably not, but it's fun to pick on about.

No candles left behind!

Great to be with family. Love the picture of the girls. They even hold their hands a like. We use the piano bench also and we actually have a bench and two stools for the baby grand that way when we have more than one musician and we usually do we have enough seats. Makes it great when we have to set large parties.

Lost eggs are no fun. Good idea to use the plastic ones!

Don't we all have a memory of the forgotten real egg! Even in my odd Easter, watching all the little ones hunt eggs was sweet to watch.
