I finally got Maddy's quilt block forged successfully last night! WHEW!
Got Ryan and Leon to do theirs too. Meri's has been done for weeks.
Leon was pretty upset because he misunderstood the instructions and thought I said he could do a Stegosaurus on his. We did a separate quilt block for that one...
Tears rule...
And it turned out SWEET! I'm thinking about a new quilt to put on my sewing list of things, just for him. A varied dinosaur hand print quilt...

Mom and Dad's quilts are coming together nicely and I figured out a way to simplify how they're being sewn together. Still waiting on a few (who am I kidding??! 24) quilt blocks. Fourteen have been mailed and I'm hounding others for the rest. If I have to forge some, I will... Make no mistake!!!
If quilt blocks were currency, I would be in SO much trouble!

I still think this is a wonderful gift idea. I also like the hand/dinosaur combo quilt. At some point in his life it will be a great remembrance that he will treasure.
