My dad's birthday was yesterday!! Happy Birthday to him!
I called him last night and inadvertently made him hang up on a sister to talk to me. Sorry Teresa!
I'm pretty sure his phone and schedule was hot all day, with 8 kids and 40 grand-kids trying to get in touch with or see him.
NOT all of them...
He spent the morning calling the Bingo numbers at Mom's nursing home (his regular gig) and probably grabbed a few bags of popcorn out of the home's popper before heading home.
He had stopped at his senior apartment complex mail box and found the package that I sent. YAY, it got there on time! And opened it in front of a bunch of other seniors who were all celebrating the November birthdays for the complex.
They shook the box and assumed there was cake in it. Nope! Just a couple pillow cases that he mistook for a table spread.
The Marine theme was appreciated by a lot of the guys, even though they thought it was a table cloth. I'm pretty sure I made them to a standard pillow size...
Anywho, it was great to talk to him.
And I was grocery shopping the entire time talking to him. Checking out and bagging my groceries was interesting while trying not to be tempted by putting the phone in the crick of my neck.
My chiropractor may love it since it brings him business, but it causes a bit of pain to me... So one-handed bagging it is!
We couldn't believe it's been almost two years since the train accident!
His and Mom's lives are so totally different now.

Happy Birthday to Mel!
So funny they all thought the cases where table thingies....lol
Happy Birthday to your dad! I love that they thought the pillow cases were for a table. Marine table runners? Might be a business opportunity you hadn't thought of before!
Cherish our parents! Happy Birthday to your dd.
