Blur time. I need caffeine.

It's been a wild and woolly weekend and bunches of it I can't even report. darn.

Robb and I, MIL and son and his gf went to Meri's Shrek the Musical on Friday night.  I hadn't heard Ryan snort when he laughs for a long time.  And despite the flatulence humor, it was a lot of fun!

That LATE night, I got paged twice.  Once around midnight and it took FOREVER to get back to sleep...  Then again around 5am.  Yikes.  It was a short night.

Saturday morning, Robb and I did a garbage run together.  Kind of a date!  Picked up a few groceries then I sewed as much as I could until late afternoon.  The bodice of Maddy's dress is done until she requests some changes.  I didn't have the skirt fabric yet, so I also cut out a few pieces of the flower girl dress and set that aside.

When the tickets went on sale, we weren't sure who could go when, so we got 5 tickets for each night.  Well, we had 3 extra for Saturday night now...  It's a good cause, so I'm not horrified that they weren't used up all the way.  But we figured Meri could find friends who would like to see the tickets. So Robb and I sat in front of 2 of her friends that she'd invited.  One couldn't make it at the last minute.  At intermission, those two girls had something else planned, so they left.
So kind of a date again for Robb and I!

The actors changed up a few of their jokes and it was an even better performance than the previous night.

Meri went to the cast party and we went home.  AH SLEEP!!! Or so I thought.  At 2am, Meri asked me to please get dressed and come downstairs to talk to a friend's mom.  *really??*  Well, there was a DARN good reason, but I won't get into it here.

Pray, will you?  You don't need to be specific.  God knows what it's about.

So Saturday night was pretty short too.

Meri was pretty wiped out all day Sunday, but she did attend church with us and a visit to my besties later.

After church, Robb and I did some grocery shopping and can I just say...  Now that we're in wedding planning mode, I am automatically calculating how much of any one product to buy if based on two hundred guests?  For example, cans of tuna?

at a dollar a can...  Depending on the RSVPs, $200-240.

Maddy!!!! We are NOT serving tuna at your reception!!!!  But we did price butter.
Well, I did, in my head.
Let's see...  one cube per person? no. per table!... yes!
Whew!  That'll be cheaper!

After we got everything put away and IMing with my sisters on FB, I relaxed for exactly 20 minutes, then left for a Prom planning committee meeting.  Yawned a lot through it.  Made a few suggestions that I'm sure made the other ladies think I was crazy. THEN met up with Robb and Meri to visit my bestie.  THEN went home and after supper of keilbasa, sauerkraut and underdone potatoes (my bad), I went upstairs to relax.  I fell asleep watching more X-men.  Nothing on the X-men... I was just exhausted.

Leon came home last night and was a chatty Cathy.  He pleaded with us to sleep on our floor cot for him and when we relented, he would ask us random questions randomly until midnight.  Waking me up each time...  "Can I have a drink of water?"  "I'm sweaty."  "I'm cold."  "Can I take off my shirt?"  "Can you scratch my elbow?" At midnight when he woke me up to say that his pillow had been taken.  I turned on my lamp and he said, "Oh HERE it is!!!"

At that point I threatened him convincingly enough.  Only then could I sleep til morning.  I had a huge headache when I woke up but thanks to a couple things it has receded.

Oh!  And Meri has a prom date now after last night!
One of her best friends that is off to college nearby.

So... the weekend wasn't a total blurry loss!

Prayers sent. I ran into some high school tears on Saturday, helping with show choir. I didn't know what any of it was about, but took a walk with one of the girls to get some fresh air, making sure she was safe. Later she was laughing with the others, so just needed some time away, and to know someone cared I guess. Prayers sent.
