We found out that Leon was actually going to be HOME with us on Thursday night, so that meant some Halloween fun!!!!
The next town was having their "downtown trick or treating" night and Leon was happy to try out his costume. I discovered that I need to make some adjustments to his boots. For the moment, they worked, but got floppy towards the end of the evening.
He saw lots of his friends and wanted to follow them into each business with candy, but they were going at their own pace and Leon is a runner.
literally: "HEY! There's Devan!!! " "Hey!!! There's that one kid from school!!!!"
We even saw his kindergarten teacher with her kids!
She warned us not to let him eat too much candy tonight...
Princess Leia and Chewbacca were pleased to see little Luke and everyone could tell who he was. It was probably not the costume at all but the lightsaber...
Check out the Sugar Daddy costume! Meri was CRACKING up on that one!
At the end, we got free hotdogs, then went over to the nursing home and he showed off his costume to Ada and her husband there while he polished his off.
Yep - the Force is strong in this one too.
And get this... I just looked out the window and it is snowing like mad!!!
I'm SO glad I talked Robb into turning on the furnace this morning!
And winter is here.

Oh the extra trick or treating. I had to smile at his teachers comment-I am not envious of kindergarten teachers the last week of October. We had rain-cold rain-but it was shifting to flakes as I left, but nothing is accumulating yet.
And hotdogs too? Leon leads a charmed life :) Have had to have the furnace on here too. NOT happy about it!
