The boy is at school today. He kept insisting he was sick, but no temp and he ate half a bagel with cream cheese. He's good. I did give him some Motrin so that he wouldn't be bothered by every little ache and pain today and complain to the teacher...
He told me a sad sad story on the porch while waiting so I told him a sad sad story about when my mom spanked me with a broom. That stopped his complaining. His life just isn't that bad after all.
LOL! I tried to adjust this comic to be a set of bagpipes instead but I'm just not good enough with photoshop equivalents these days.
We sat on the porch wrapped in a blanket talking and missed seeing the bus stop way down the block. We probably should have been closer to the road. So he had to run to catch it at our corner.
Robb bought a car last night! He went to see it himself last night since Leon was sick and I stayed home with him. We'll pick it up this weekend. I'm SO glad!! We've had car ailments. One with a sick transmission that we've had patched, replaced and then patched again. What a lemon! Another with the alignment out, but we just got that fixed Wednesday. We've loaned out our minivan and hope to get it back soon. Who knew the $200 truck would be our GOOD car?! Probably Meri. She's not too happy to be loaning that to us. But oh well. We gotta get where we gotta get.
And right now, I just got a mystery to solve for work. so gotta get going on it.
Have a great weekend!

hilarious cartoon.
You have a great weekend also.
The cartoon is great and so true. I guess we could all fill in the blank for whatever bugs us the most.
Porch moments are the best! Cute cartoon :-) Good luck with the vehicle situation! Hope 2018 is a great year for you.
Blessings,
Jill
I have a picture of you and Leon on your porch in y head-what nice time together. Cute cartoon.
My mother's "spanker of choice" was the fly swatter! Guess you didn't have it so bad either lol! And yes, if they can eat they can go to school :)
The cartoon is on point! And my mom used a belt. Mercy, the sound of a belt buckle clanking will put me in panic mode! ;)
That was so funny! I told my son about when my Dad swore in Greek when I was about 4, my sister said it and then I copied and said it too. My sister and I had a teaspoon of pepper in our mouths and outside on the little step in the dark for a bit (probably 5 min but felt like an eternity). That keeps them in check...LOL!
