Life Consuming

So yesterday, Leon came home from school and announced on his way up the stairs that he made two NEW imaginary friends today!

g.reat...

The steam cleaner didn't have to get back until last night and I made it count!  I had gotten done with everything then realized that my mother-in-law would probably appreciate it if I did her living room too.

So I skipped Bible study and did that.  By the time I got done, I was so exhausted.  I just wanted to get the cleaner taken back and maybe just go to bed early.  But Meri, Ryan and Leon talked me into going out to dinner with them. Ryan's treat.  I kept telling them no, go ahead without me, but Meri talked me into it.  The parental guilt of "one of the last times together" apparently works well with me...  Robb was out of town and it would just be a quiet house if they just went without me.

Actually sounds kind of nice...

But I went and that was even much more fun than being home alone.  We ate at a local Mexican restaurant where Meri's dad from Beauty and the Beast, waited on us.  He kept Leon in good supply of chips and salsa and lemonade.

Would you trust enchiladas from a guy who had once looked like this?

His voice is fantastic, so yeah, I probably would.
They had just run out of root beer but because Meri wanted some, I suspect he sent someone over to the next door gas station for some.  What a sweetheart!
Anything for his daughter!

Then I took the cleaner back and the rest went home.    Leon had spilled some milk on his bed so he was sleeping on the couch in my room and after ten minutes of trying to feel smart with Sudoku, I crashed too.

This prep for the grad party is consuming my life.
And I just know something else will as soon as the party is over.

But I can't wait to see what it is!

I can imagine after the party, some other great thing will be awaiting your tie and talents. My daughter just started her first real job in a restaurant. I hope she cates as well as that young man did to people in need of something.

You have a great memory, and you can rest later.
