More of the Same Changes

On Friday, I was watching Leon at Meri's new pad.  Ryan had had to work so while I worked also, Leon played with Legos and Ryan's game system.

I took him out for lunch where his dad works.

YUM...

Leon made his face into play dough and made me take a pic so he could see it.  No mirrors out on the patio.

Ryan is mostly moved in.  Meri, about 80%.  She still has a hutch and several items left in her old bedroom to move out.  That'll happen.  And then we'll make her room into a full blown guest room!

Leon is staying there with his dad this week so it truly feels like an empty nest.  Jen is going to take care of the boy this evening while Ryan works. But then he has the next couple days off and is going to do the full dad bit.

It feels weird.

On Saturday, I got to sew!  I attended our ASG community sewing event and made over 100 pillowcases by noon when I had to leave.  Most of the ladies stuck around til 4, so I'm willing to bet we really blew past last years numbers!

The pillowcases will go to a children's hospital near by.  The pediatric patients get to pick whatever pillowcase they want for when they're in the hospital and get to take them home later when they're released.  It's a cool program!  And the various pillowcase fabrics are so fun.

I stopped at a garage sale last night and found a bunch of shirts that would fit Leon.  He loved them all!  They had Legos, dinosaurs and emojis on them, so why wouldn't he?  I also saw this tall-ish table and some chairs as well as a desk and sent Meri pics of them.  She thought they were swell and asked me to go get them for her.  It didn't work out to get them last night, so I stopped by the house this morning and they were still available.  We got them!    Leon and I took them down to "the house" this morning and Ryan helped me unload.

Meri's bedazzled cabinet was moved in this weekend and is resting in their basement living room.  Looks pretty good!  I'll get a pic next time I'm there.

Ellie moved down yesterday.  Meri came to pick her up in the afternoon.  About an hour later, she texted me and said that Ellie had already peed and pooped in the house on the carpet.  Nothing like marking your territory!  Robb thought it was pretty humorous until Reedus, the last remaining golden, did the exact same thing...  Except he kept it in the laundry room.  Easier pick up.  Smart dog!

So when I was there today, I took Ellie for a quick walk.  I think she's going to like it there.

It's going to be an odd week.

That's great that Ryan will have more opportunities to do the full on dad thing. You are such a great support to your kids. I hope the dog works out-such a lot or extra responsibility for kids starting out.
