The cupcakes got done yesterday!! They turned out so cute. Leon wanted me to put red sprinkles on the frosting part before putting the tops on. He said because that's what his friend Zoe told him to do... Is he impressionable? yes.
Here is the recipe I followed from my How to cook everything cookbook.
OH YUMMY is this good!!!!
I got to the classroom just as the party was getting going. The kids went on their costume parade. Leon saw me finally and ran to give me a hug. Then he ran to the end of the line. That's one of the classroom rules. So he got out of line on purpose so I could walk with him at the end. Plus be in line behind Zoe.
She is the transformer in the back row behind Leon.
and probably my future grand-daughter-in-law.
I walked the length of the school probably 4 times at least for the parade. Some of these costumes were SO creative! I loved Cindy LooHoo!
and a transformer school bus!!
this little guy was driving down the hall in his own wheels. Too cute!
After the snacks, Leon got to leave with me. I let him trick-or-treat at Ada's at the nursing home before heading to town for him to go beg for candy with his dad. Meri was there and manned the candy cauldron all by her lonesome. I sat with her a little bit but then had to leave.
Leon and his dad went around with Leon's pub friend Joe. YES! They HAVE had play dates outside of the pub since!! They're good friends now.
So that's the end of our Halloween saga. Let's see... I was asked how many times we trick or treat here as it seems to be every stinking day.
Thursday - downtown
Sunday - Living History Farms
Tuesday - beggars night
Wednesday - beggars night in his dad's town.
Just wait til Christmas!!! You'll be so sick of my jolly holiday Christmas cheer, you'll turn into an elf.
