Happy Birthday to my baby!!!!!
Meri turns twenty years old today!!!
It's been a crazy year. Full of ups and downs. What a roller coaster. But what a wonderful young woman she's growing up to be.
Highlights of the year in no particular order because I don't have time to put them chronologically.
Meri does Grandma's hair while we all visit in the nursing home together.
Meri is Yonah in the spring community play. What a beautiful voice!
Zoo day with Leon.
A visit to Wisconsin and Meri and I had a few hours just to ourselves. We checked out the park by the lake.
The Bahamas cruise where we watched Men in Black 2 on the deck in hurricane gale force winds. We only stayed out there for about ten minutes...
We spent almost every weekend in the first half of 2019 visiting with Mom and Dad. I wasn't going to give up any free time that I had and neither was she. She was a trooper and accompanied me on almost every trip there if Robb wasn't able to go with me and even if he did.
Back on the cruise. She used my new scarf that I bought at Cococay to do a recreation of a sculture.
While I collected tiny sea shells, she took the opportunity of good wifi to get caught up with her Instagram and other hi-tech sites that I'm too old to appreciate.
She bought a house!!! It's been a wild 6 months, but she's turning into a responsible adult if it kills her.
Our adventure in Los Angeles, trying out for Americas Got Talent together! I stream some movies set in L.A. these days and recognize some of the highways but not many of the side streets... That place is huge.
Meri and one of our grand-nieces having a sweet time at one of the spring funerals.
Back at the cruise pics. The infamous road side visit to see as many alligators as possible.
And Ron Jon surf shop for souvenirs!!! and pics... because those are my souvenirs. I'm cheap.
The Marine jacket that Meri inherited from Dad. She loves it!!! And you can't believe how many times random strangers come up to her and say SEMPER FI!!! Where did you serve??!
Ummm no where...
It's like wearing a Hard Rock t-shirt from some exotic locale and never going there.
But this one has a lot of sentimental value...
AND she bought a new car from Carvana!! TWO big bills in the same year! She's adulting HARD!
AND on one of our trips back to my hometown, we found my nephews pic at the local convenience store! Brae's a ROCK STAR!
Have a wonderful birthday sweetheart! I hope your next year is full of joy.
We love you!
