Have I Told You Lately??

It's Rod Stewart day at my house. Not an official holiday, but I am the activity coordinator here and it shall be so. Sim sala bim.Just wanted you guys to know how much I appreciate you. The last few days have been 10 times as horrible as the last 3 years. To quote Shawn Spencer from Wednesday's episode of Psych, "I don't speak algebra" so you can do the math...

There was a week just over one year ago that my eyes squirted tears sporadically throughout the day. I'm going through that again. WHY would... Oh nevermind. You don't want to hear that.

So anyway, some of you know what's going on and some don't. I got to visit with the subject last night and things are a bit better for me, but it's not going to change things. But no matter...

Not only is this my Rod Stewart day, but it's also what I am thankful for day. Yep, an early Thanksgiving of sorts... When you run into a horrible snag in your life, you have to count your blessings. It makes you appreciate what you do have.

So... without further ado...

1) I am thankful for a supportive husband who understands me inside and out. Even though at times he wishes he didn't.

2) I am thankful for my faith. Without God, I would be lost.

3) I am thankful that my car heater works especially on frosty mornings when I don't want to sacrifice another library card scraping the windshield.

4) I am thankful for our military and police that keeps us safe and for keeping the bad guys away from us.

5) I am thankful that my health is reasonable good. I'll gripe about an achy back, but with enough ibuprofen and a chair I can crack it over, I'm fine...

6) I am thankful for our jobs in a world where they're being lost every day.

7) I am thankful for free time to sew when I'm feeling creative and for free time to goof off if I'm feeling slacker-ish.

8) I am thankful for the double chocolate latte cookie dough I've got in the fridge that I've been eating by the raw yummy spoonful...

9) I am thankful that I've got 2 two litres of Diet Doctor Pepper on hand and a few wine coolers... *shhh*

10) I am thankful for my children and church family who are so supportive and kind.

11) I am thankful for the delicious orange candle on my desk that wafts it's wonderful holiday fragrances into my nostrils and into my thoughts.

12) I am thankful for the kindness of my imaginary friends. That's you guys!

Have I told you lately that I love you?!

I agree without God it would be so difficult to go through the "hard" stuff in life, he is always there for you.

well, that's a LOT to be thankful for and hopefully the rest will fall into place sometime soon - or maybe by you forcing it to fall into place ;-)
