Can you believe Leon slept from 11pm until 6am this morning??!!! He screamed up until 11, but was good for the rest of the night. I'm so glad. My son and his wife REALLY needed the sleep...
As you may know, Meri is planning on breeding her Golden's again this spring. And as luck would have it, Ellie went into season just over a week ago. The howling started yesterday. DUKE! I was in my office and I heard it. DANG! So I decided, why not? I put both dogs in the yard.
Let me just say... it's probably too early because they haven't got a clue...
That seemed to settle them down a little bit though and the rest of the evening, both dogs were somewhat fine in the house except for a lot of sniffing.
So at 2am, the howling began again. I will NOT let that dog wake up the baby! So after hearing the first howl, I said a bad word and climbed out of bed. Hubs didn't know what was going on but I had woken him up and apparently he couldn't get back to sleep. *sorry hon!*
I put the Goldens outside again. They were still clueless...
Oh well.
I slept on the couch thinking I'd wake up when I hear the baby cry and that will be my reminder to bring the dogs back in. As I mentioned before, Leon slept until 6. I happened to wake up at 5 and brought them in to their kennels, then went back to bed myself.
Today's going to be long day...
How'd you sleep?
Like a baby?
(SUCH a bad comparison... slept a little, cried a little, wet myself, slept some more...)

Laughing at the sleeping like a baby...you really don't wanna do that do ya?
Leon slept like a champ!! Sheeesh!
I was going to compare some men to the Golden Retrievers, but decided maybe that isn't appropriate for a family blog like yours.
I howled all night!
Yes Annie, I went there. Val was just begging for it. Not my fault!

LOL! I took Nyquil last night so I managed to sleep pretty good. My coughing only woke me up a few times.
I'm sure the dogs will get with the program pretty soon.
What are the odds that the dogs would wake you up and not the baby? Give everyone benadryl and go to bed.
Oh and Mark and Annie are naughty!
You are even busy while sleeping!
If that were my dogs, they would have had me up by banging on the screen door. Yes you read that right, banging on the screen door. They pull it open then let the spring make it go back into place, making it bang.
Yes my dogs are smart.
So sorry to hear Leon is screaming, but glad to hear he did rest, eventually!
Hope you are able to get some rest tonight!
Blessings,
Jill
Didn't know what to do? Hmmm...I thought it just takes over. Guess I don't know to much:)
Glad the baby is sleeping for them.
Sweet Dreams all around!
