Bloody confusion.

Big boy phases suck.  Right now, Leon is going through a phase where if he is up a little too late and then up a little too early in the morning, he is a complete grump.  He does NOT love you.  He does NOT want a hug.  He will NOT tell you that he loves you.  Even if he won't see you for a couple days...

He really should have been to bed earlier last night...  Oh well.  Ryan will figure it out!  I already have, but it's not something you can just TELL someone.  It has to be learned.  Well... You CAN tell them but they won't understand or listen until they experience it for themselves.

We're gearing up for a great weekend!  I've got a sewing meeting on Saturday and Maddy will get here around lunch time that same day.  I'll see her a little later.

The next few nights are ALL about Meri!  Her complete dress rehearsal is tonight and is THE night that I get to take pictures!!  I'll make sure we've got batteries for the camera.  I might need to take them out of a toy computer that I put them in last night.  No one likes that toy anyway...

We'll go to the play again tomorrow night, then again on Saturday night with Maddy.  I can't wait to see Meri's yodeling costume, with her in it of course, on stage!

I've been sewing!!  I spent Monday and Tuesday working on a rough draft of a skirt to wear to Robb's annual Christmas party.  I spent yesterday's lunch cutting out a new sweatshirt from an older sweatshirt of Robbs.  Repurposing, here I come!  Both patterns came out of a Burda magazine from a few years back.  And I have NO photos for you yet.  Darn. Oh well.  You'll see them eventually.

Here is KIND of a preview.   It's skirt that you can't see much of... And the sweatshirt without the bottom band and with a curvier neckline.

If the shirt pattern comes out ok, then I'll make another with Christmassy sweat type fabric to go with the skirt that I'm making.  I did discover that if you use the measuring instructions in the Burda mag, it has me off the charts in some cases and apparently the mag doesn't have my exact size, so I have to improvise.

Well, I did.  And then had to take it in almost 2 inches on each hip and a lot on the waist.  Someday I'll get a general sloper type pattern to use as a base and who knows??!  Maybe it won't tell me that I'm too big for their books!!

Because you know...  It's all about the Bass...

With any luck I'll give blood today.  Not sure if my iron count is high enough, but we'll see.  I'm supposed to go tonight but remembered the play yesterday, so I'm not sure when I can go.  Maybe over lunch today if they can fit me in.

Well!  It's all about the Meri, Play, Bass and Blood.

Is it just me or do I have trouble focusing??

Always busy, but you are always putting love into whatever you do! Your family is lucky to have you. :-) I know whatever design you make will be amazing! Enjoy the day.

Blessings,
Jill

That top looks really pretty. I don't know if it would look pretty on ME, but I still like it.

You definitely cannot get daddies to understand the importance of enough sleep until they have to deal with a kid without enough. THEN they will find out.
