It was a good weekend... It was an aggravating weekend...
On Saturday, I tried to mow the yard but the rider wouldn't start. We put it on a battery charger for a few hours, even tried jump starting with the car, but the brand new battery that we'd gotten last month for it couldn't even make the ignition click. I pulled out the push mower and did the front yard anyhow... Leon helped me fill a few holes and cut down a few straggler trees that threatened to take out the fences.
I didn't do any sewing, but killed some time during Leon's nap, dreaming and thumbing through a sewing magazine.
On Saturday afternoon, a friend and her daughter came over and we fussed over the daughter's wedding gown. I got lots of input and ideas on how to make it more poofy. We'll add the poof before we decide how to hem it. I got in touch with a friend who has a ton of Ban Roll and I WILL do this baby hem using that technique this time! No more yucky baby hems for me!!! I'm picking it up tonight. Tutorial is here.
Sunday, we had a potluck at church that I helped organize. Robb brought his gas grill and it was a lot of fun. It was a great welcome back to the college kids as they start their new year at school.
After an afternoon of picking out the right tulle for the dress, I attended a 4H meeting for the parents. We're merging clubs and I'm not entirely convinced how this is going to go, other than break the heart of our last leader who just retired.
So... here we are on Monday. I just watched about half of a movie called, The Words, this morning on Amazon Prime. Meri's membership... It's really good, but again, not convinced yet how it will go, other than break at least two people's hearts before the end. Hopefully not mine.
Well... off to work. I'm just kind of here today, but the me that is here has lots to do. Best get with it!
I hope you had a great weekend!

No sewing? Me either. But that's OK. I'm trying to figure out the Ban Roll tutorial. I need to give it a try. It was fall here for just a few hours this morning and we started school outside. Heated up pretty quickly so we're back inside. September in the South.
A busy weekend of farm chores, but productive!! Can't believe you didn't sew anything....wow.
