For the final day of Maddypalooza, we three played outside until Meri came home on Sunday afternoon to see Maddy off.
LOTS of photo ops! I got in the hammock but it was very tricky to get out. The material cut into the back of my knees... Yeowch!

Friends with Words.
One person is the dealer and two people next to each other at the table start. The dealer lays down a card from the deck. If it's a number card, you have to take the first letter of the number and make a word out of it. The 3 card would be T, the 8 card would be E, etc. If it's Jack, Queen, King or Ace, well that's easy, say a word starting with the first letter of the card.
The first person to say a valid word that hasn't already been used wins that round and the winner challenges the next person around the table. You keep going around the table until all the cards run out, then count up how many cards you won throughout the game and you're the winner.
It goes fast.
If the words are thrown out at exactly the same time, do a tie breaker challenge.
Drug Dealer
You only need the King and Ace and then as many number cards as there are players. So if 10 people are playing, use the King, Ace and 8 number cards. The more people, the more fun.
Scatter them upside down on the table and mix them up.
Let everyone grab a card, but do NOT show anyone else your card.
If you have the Ace, then you're the drug dealer. Your object of the game is to wink very secretly at other players who you hope doesn't have the King. If someone notices you winking at them and they're a number card, they are to wait a little bit as to not give you away, then turn their number card over and say mysteriously, "A deal has been made."
This game is mostly quiet with everyone's eyes burning from watching for anyone winking at them.
If you have the King card, you are on constant lookout for anyone winking. If you see someone winking and think that they might be the drug dealer, you lay down your card, point at them and yell BUSTED! If you're wrong, then the drug dealer wins. If you're right, then YOU are!
The object is to not get caught.
Especially by the German Army.
