Maddy and Matthew had strung our Christmas lights in the tree this year and from a distance when I drive up to the house at nighttime, Leon and I see a man sitting in the tree.
Maybe Santa??
And since Maddy will not be here for Meri's real birthday in 1.5 weeks, we celebrated Meri's fake birthday last night. Not a HUGE meal, but we got carry out pizza and she got to open most of her gifts. and we sang "Happy Fake Birthday" instead of the standard one.
And since she hates cake AND it's her fake birthday, we just lit an apple cider candle that I had received for Christmas. Two candles were left lit. WOOHOO! She has two boyfriends!!!
17 years old (almost)... I can hardly believe it!
Then Leon got a hold of my camera and took lots of pics of Great Grandma's dog. sigh...

I love the fake birthday with the fake birthday song. When we do it here we sing happy un birthday, but I like fake birthday better!
