Chocolate Mousse and other faves

Well, the blue satin pants didn't get completed.  I threaded the serger, serged the edges of each piece and then hit a stall on the pants fly.  It'll happen, but not as quickly as I'd hoped.  Oh well.  I've still got a couple weeks.  There may not be 10 items, but I'll do my best to get as close as I can.

I got hung up yesterday.  Took the boy swimming...  He wanted to show off his new swimming skills like swimming underwater.  I need to find him some goggles...  AND he knows how to swim like a jelly fish.

yeah - I didn't know what that was either.

It's when you float face down, with arms and legs dangling and face in the water blowing bubbles.

I'll stick with the relaxing back float...  You don't drown that way.  I remember when my kids were younger and they'd swim under me while I was like that.  Leon likes to pounce on top and pull me under.  good times...

After supper, he asked if we could watch the rest of Indiana Jones.  okey dokey.  Sewing put off a bit longer...

As we're watching it, the man on the right of this shot stuck out.  I KNOW him!!!!

Well... I don't KNOW him, but I recognize him!!  He was Chocolate Mousse from the spoof Top Secret movie!  So I paused it and took a pic.  Top Secret was a classic and I loved it!  Nowadays though since I've gotten older, it's not my thing, but it's always fun to see young Val Kilmer in almost anything.

And because I've had celebrity recognition mixups before, I double checked on IMDB and I was right!!!  I once thought that a guy (Fisher Stevens) from  the movie Short Circuit just HAD to be a close relative to Michael Douglas.  I guess not...  In MY mind, they looked so much alike!

Leon asked when we can watch Top Secret and I told him at least 8-10 more years.  I had to make sure his eyes were covered during the opening of the ark during Raiders for fear of him sleeping on my couch for the next month, as it was...   The mean guys face melting was a little too much.  And not because Top Secret is violent or anything like that, but there are a LOT of innuendos that I don't need him asking me what that means.

Keeping him young and innocent as long as I can...

OH!  And I made the lactose free yogurt for Meri.  It turned out awesome!!!  It's draining at the moment, so I'll have another quart of whey to find a use for.

I'm ALMOST ready to make yogurt with sweetened condensed milk.  Not for her, but for us.  I haven't convinced Robb yet of the yogurt that I make.  But maybe if I sweeten the deal...

Gotta run.  Leon's swim lesson is soon.  Have a great Tuesday!
