It's a marshmallow world in the springtime
When the cotton comes an covers the ground. boo-boo-de-boo
It's a time to cry, it's a whipped yard day
I loath to see it all year round....

There are marshmallow tufts being friendly
In the arms of my herb garden leaves
And the mowers clogged like a sink gets sometimes
The cottons getting caught in my sleeves.

Darn cottonwood tree...

I love the description, marshmellow world...then the Dino and Frank video...I've never seen this. Great connection.
Thanks for the smile this morning.

Wow, that's a lot of cottonwood! Love that first picture!
Have an Extraordinary Day!
The second picture looks like a giant sneezed....lol
I have never seen so much cottonwood! My son's allergies would be horrendous there!
It looks kinda cool, there!
Now I can't get that tune out of my head! Darn, you McVal!
Love those pictures... I don't think I have ever really seen a cottonwood or knew they could do this.
I guess that's how this tree got it's name? I've heard of them but never saw them before. And now, I know I don't want one in my yard. Do the 'droppings' blow away or do you have to rake them up?
That is a mess! I can honestly, say that I have never seen anything like that before!
My monitor is too dark to see details on your photos. But I think I understand from all the comments. Now I'm going to listen to Frank and Dean sing.
My kids have been sneezing like mad with these little white devils. I swear the other day I thought it was snowing. Although I live in MN, so it wouldn't be TOTALLY out of the question.
That cotton wood gives me major sinus trouble .. big time! what state do you live in??? =) (so I know never to move there!!) he he!! I will go peek at your daughters blog! do you have screening on it?
Oh boy! Here in Oklahoma it's against the law to plant those anymore because of the damage they do to air conditioners!
