It's a Marshmallow world in the Springtime!

It's a marshmallow world in the springtime
When the cotton comes an covers the ground. boo-boo-de-boo
It's a time to cry, it's a whipped yard day
I loath to see it all year round....
There are marshmallow tufts being friendly
In the arms of my herb garden leaves
And the mowers clogged like a sink gets sometimes
The cottons getting caught in my sleeves.
In springtime it's a marshmallow world.

Darn cottonwood tree...

I have never seen so much cottonwood! My son's allergies would be horrendous there!

Love those pictures... I don't think I have ever really seen a cottonwood or knew they could do this.

I guess that's how this tree got it's name? I've heard of them but never saw them before. And now, I know I don't want one in my yard. Do the 'droppings' blow away or do you have to rake them up?

My monitor is too dark to see details on your photos. But I think I understand from all the comments. Now I'm going to listen to Frank and Dean sing.

My kids have been sneezing like mad with these little white devils. I swear the other day I thought it was snowing. Although I live in MN, so it wouldn't be TOTALLY out of the question.

Oh boy! Here in Oklahoma it's against the law to plant those anymore because of the damage they do to air conditioners!
