Horsing Around and Crashing Parties!

On Sunday afternoon, Meri and I went on a roadtrip to my home town and home stead where my nephew and niece were having a joint birthday party.  My sister had bought the acreage where I grew up, so it's neat to see how they've put their own finishing touches on things!

Some walls have been taken down and my old bedroom was gutted for, I think, a wetbar... It's not done yet, but the sheet rock is up.

This is my dad.  He's the joke-ster I've talked about on numerous occasions.  Here, Here and Here!  Don't read them, because then you won't follow me anymore...  It's a curse.

This is my niece and my grand-nephew!  I was so glad to see them!  And he's such a cutie!
This is one of my many sisters, but the one that now lives here and boards horses in her spare time, like the ones at the top of the post.

This little pony is Blueberry and my little nieces pride and joy!   Not the niece that is riding her in this picture, but another...

Blueberry is shy... I don't think I got her face in any of my pictures!

My mom and sister, Mel, visited with me during the pony rides.
An old neighbor even stopped by but I didn't take a picture of him...  I guess I'm still bitter...  He's the one that charged me $8 to pull my car out of the muddy garden when I was in college and late for a final...  Nope, I haven't forgotten!!!  And Melanie said I really need to forgive and forget...  But it's no big deal... I think the check bounced anyway...

Kristin gave pony rides until Blueberry got so hot and sweaty, that she had to take a break.  Then the cake got brought out and everyone forgot about horses!

Rides were also given on another kind of horse power!  That's my niece in pink with the ribbon.  Her birthday is coming up in October, but we celebrated Sunday along with her baby brothers birthday!

So MANY babies and little ones around there!!!  OH!  And they had a bouncy house too!  It was a regular carnival!  Towards the end of the party, the heat and humidity affected the bouncy house and no one could slide down due to the sweat...  They had to kind of hop so it wasn't as much fun on the slide part...

Here is ANOTHER niece with HER baby!

And the cake!  There were two themes... That changed at the last minute...  Braedon is into Superman and Brooke is into unicorns!  However the cake turned into a superman/horse ranch...  Oh well!  It was still delicious and beings that I got to serve the cake and ice cream, I got as much frosting as I wanted!  HA!

Meri hung out with one of her bestie cousins!

I got a lot of chit chat time in with nephews, nieces and my dad!

Kristin and her hubs had added a cement ramp as part of the front patio.  So they pulled out the sidewalk chalk and everyone had to sign it.  My niece, Stevie, did too, then dragged her little wet butt in a straight line down the ramp as if it were a slide.

Her diaper acted as an eraser!  I'm glad I got a full pic before it happened!  Even if it is kind of faint...
After things started dying down and all the napkins, plates and cups were thrown away and cleaned off the picnic tables, I got some cuddle time in with one of the birthday kids!  This is Braedon, who gave us quite a scare last year when he insisted on being born 11 weeks premature!  He's a scrapper!

We had a great time but I missed my little grandson, so I grabbed any baby that would let me pick them up.

Looking forward to next family get-together but hoping to have more of my family with us!

Oh how fun@ Love that your sister lives in the home that you grew up in and that you are all close enough to visit each other. Families are wonderful!

And boy is that little one there a cutie pie!
