Fourth segment of my 2012 review. Whew!
October
Homecoming Senior antics and Maddy turned 18. Yikes! Another adult in the house! Almost as many as pets!!
Speaking of pets, I complained about the pets underfoot. A lot.. In fact so much that I had a request from a past co-worker to knock off knocking cats! Hi Doe!! But I had good reason in October... The dress I was making to wear to a wedding had some problems due to a cat or two. And the title of that post was the same as the title of my blog. Those darn cats must have heard me dissing them the day or so before...
Had an ASG special event and got inspired to sew sew SEW! and sew I did. I was frantic trying to get this dress re-done on time!
Rainy nights at a football game with Leon. We weren't sure when or where we'd get a chance to have him with us, so we cherished every second! Worried about him all the rest.
And then off to Colorado for my nephews wedding. Half the fun was just getting there! and hemming my dress. and then of course squeezing into my scuba suit so my dress would look halfway decent. The wedding was gorgeous and an eagle flew over the new couple during the ceremony. How perfect is THAT?!
Then the reception, sharing a table next to the hor d'vors with my folks and another nephew. Gotta get HIM a wife...
November
Told a long joke that no one got because it wasn't meant to be too deep... Attended a 4H lockin with Meri and zoned out by 1 or 2am. I'm 46... I don't HAVE to stay up all night if I don't want to! Meri did.. well almost.
Sewing times. Redid a skirt that I made too short into a scarf by merely placing it around ones neck. VOILA!
Shared why my thoughts had been so random and my focus was mostly on just Leon these days. And then things changed again in the status of where Leon would be staying... As I mentioned, just wait 10 minutes around here. Things change!
Meri was in Mock Trial and looked SO snazzy in her professional clothes!!! Enjoying time with my kids! Well, whichever ones were home that is...
Hosted my side of the families Thanksgiving 3 hours away. Had a great time but really could have slept for a few days afterward. BUT no rest for the wicked.
December
The annual Cookie bake off at my besties! Had our annual Norwegian Christmas meal there the next week. Is it German or Norwegian where if you do something more than once, it's tradition??
Showed off Meri's ugly Christmas sweater and the venue where she made about 50 new friends in the next grade up. She's the cool Sevie!! As if I could say anything more about it...
Took Leon to the school concerts as you saw in the above link and then here to the high school concert. He was a HIT I tell you!!!
Sewed Leon's little big butt easy chair! It still needs a zipper, but he loves it anyway. I'll get to it... DON'T JUDGE ME! He had a nap in it yesterday.
Got more Christmas lights and decor up. Jesus, Mary and Joseph! And then the snow hit. We won't see the nativity again until the spring thaw... It's under a huge drift of snow.
Took Leon to see Santa. Or was it Satan? I'm a little dyslexic.
My 5 wishes for the new year.
1) That I lose 20 lbs. That would be an awesome start! We'll see what clothes still fit after that... and determine if I should keep going or if I'm sick and tired of dieting for a while...
2) That Leon stays in our lives as much as he is now.
3) That a couple people living here stay employed and get independent.
4) That a couple pets go bye bye...
5) That my girls enjoy school/college and excel at all that they undertake.
6) That I get to sew a LOT in 2013.
Oops that's 6. Well... I'm not going to cut the #4 off the list!!!

Aw, I hope you get all your goals in the new year, especially having your grandson in your lives so much. And I really hope your son finds his independence!
Wow, an eagle flying over the newlyweds? That's awesome! I had a bird poop on my arm at my bridal shower, lol! Supposedly it's good luck!
I will keep making fun of cats for you.
LOVE Leon's shades.
Oh that poor dress! The poor cat... or not so poor cat. I would have been furious and the cat might have found a new home :).
And love the little Halloween costume! and the fact that you guys say Sevie, we said that here too.
Hope all your goals are met this year, especially about the people living in your house finding there independence. ;-)
What a great year of smiles
I will admit that I share all of your goals too (well switch the name Leon to Millie and instead of girl going off to college boy going off to grad school)!
Whoa your year was busy- and the wedding looks like it was beautiful! i love weddings. I can't imagine having any more animals in my house so I can't imagine what its like for you but wouldn't remove #4 either. I went a tad overboard with our goals so you can add to it if you want! :) Great recap! hugs!
Good goals. Last year was a tough year in some ways but also quite rewarding, here is to a new and better year!
Your dress looks great! I love the flow in the skirt.
Impressive few months. You get so much more done than I do or maybe I am just blocking it all out!
Beautiful dress such a pretty material- seems like it would be slippery and hard to sew which makes me even more impressed. That seems like it would be hard to put on a Thanksgiving not at your home with the things you need.
And here's wishing you luck that you can rid yourself of a few pets :)
Thanks so much for linking up all four weeks!
