2012 Review part zwei

Review of 2012  Part zwei   *that's 2 for you and me*

April

We guessed on when the puppies would be born and sent my hubs off to Cougartown, Arkansas with his high school buds.  They holed up in a retirement community to play computer games
where one of their parents has a condo.  And I got tired of being a single parent with only tacos for ideas for dinner...

Got lots of time to babysit Leon and even though I complained about what a complainer HE was, I enjoyed it.

Easter!!!

PROM PROM PROM!  I told you about it for a few days while the camera was missing, but then finally showed you.  Maddy's prom finally came and yes the dress was finally done.

May

The puppies were finally born!   And as usual, during a jazz band concert.  Meri had stayed home and texted me whenever one was born.  Only 6 puppies this year.  Leon loved them even though he didn't even realize what they were.  This spring should be a little different!

May was a month of tears too.  My uncle Ted passed away and as usual, we had a great family reunion with family we only see at weddings and funerals.  A few days before that Tiffany's grandmother passed away.  Actually just a day or so after Leon's baptism!

The girls made me breakfast in bed and accidentally texted to me to come help instead of Robb!  A huge breakfast shared with family in bed, made the best day!  That same week, Robb and I celebrated 24 years of marriage!

Leon went to school with me to drop off Meri and got lots of oohs and aahs at the playground.  I shared our pony ride fiasco story when Ryan broke his arm.

June

Did lots of sewing for Maddy's upcoming Girl's State adventure!  She had to dress professionally.  On Memorial Day, she recited the Flander's Field poem for the memorial service at the cemetary.  She wore one of the Girl's State outfits.  Parades and getting locked out of the car...

Maddy and Meri got lots of babysitting time in in June.  Maddy with her two charges and Meri with Leon.  I showed you some of the crafty things that Maddy was doing with her girls.  Pinterest is our friend...  They had a 2nd prom...

I was getting SICK of these puppies!!!!  They were almost old enough to sell and suddenly they were.  And suddenly they sold!  Within 3 days of posting the ad in the main central Iowa newspaper!

My son got sick!  No one knew what is was.  He ended up in the hospital!  He stayed for a few days and was back to work the following Monday.  Weird...  Leon caught it a week later and got a few days in the hospital too!  Definitely weird!!!  They have a name for whatever it was they caught, which I can't pronounce or remember and believe you me, everyone in the house chugged fluids to ward it off from the rest of us!

Maddy went off to Girl's State and had a blast!  She made lots of new friends and got to wear her prom dress again!

Ryan turned 21!!  His main gift was to bring his son home from the hospital.

Sorry!  No pics today...  I'm working from the living room and all my photos are on my computer in my office.

Thanks for stopping by!  Go HERE to visit others sharing their yearly review.

Oh those puppies are so so cute! And the picture with the baby and the puppies-love!!! That dress you made is so beautiful and nice she got to use it a couple of times especially after all your hard work. And congrats to 24 years of marriage! That is awesome.

Great recap again!
